This was image was one of the first Mucha pieces I attempted. I learned many things about converting images to vector art, and about design for stage carving. When I completed "La Plume", I decided to use this image as a companion piece for doors in our kitchen. I revisited this artwork, and ended up redrawing the image to eliminate the coloring book appearance (reduced line weight to 1/4 point), and to eliminate the "bleeding" (most apparent adjacent to deep carves, for example just below her arm). |
