With the move to the new property, I’ll be working to preserve my new friend, Preston.
Straight and tall, Preston symbolizes much of the hopes I have for a new life at Sunny View. When I first laid out the property, Preston seemed sure to be a victim of new construction. A few adjustments, and I now believe he may be able to escape the bulldozer’s blade (ouch!)
Preston is a Grand Fir according to my friend Joan Consani, who knows such things. He’s one of the tallest varieties, and can grow to a height of 300 feet! When sheared, he will be magnificent at Christmas.
Preston now has most of the house built to his immediate East.
